Fast food

More orders at lunch.

Guests order and pay on their own at a kiosk next to the counter, or on your web page. Each order shows on the kitchen screen at once, with its number and a timer.

Switching to Resto is free, and you can cancel at any time.

What this venue uses

The prices in the pictures are examples.

Self-service

Guests order at their own pace.

Each guest reads the menu, picks the extras and pays by card. More guests order at the same time, and your staff at the POS have time for guests who want to talk to a person.

Six languages
The kiosk is in Icelandic, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. Items show in the guest’s language when you translate them.
Allergens
The guest sees the allergens and the ingredients of each item.
Order number
The guest picks eat in or to go, types a name and gets an order number.
About the self-service kiosk

Online orders

Order online, pick up at the counter.

Guests order and pay on your own ordering page. You see the order on the POS, and the kitchen gets it with all the others.

One kitchen
Orders from the kiosk, the POS and the web show on the same kitchen screen, each with its own timer.
Wait time and pause
When it is busy, make the wait time longer, or pause new orders for 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
Ready
The guest gets an SMS or an email when the food is ready.

Questions and answers

How do guests pay at the kiosk?
By card on the reader in the kiosk. Guests who want to pay cash order at the POS.
How do guests know that the food is ready?
The kiosk shows the guest the order number and asks for a name. Staff call the name or the number. Guests who order online get an SMS or an email.
Can we have a lunch price or an online offer?
Yes. You set up the rule once, for example 10 % off burgers on the kiosk on weekdays from 11:30 to 14:00, or 500 kr. off online orders from 5.000 kr. The discount goes on the order on its own. See discounts.
What devices do we need?
Most fast-food places start with two kiosks next to the counter, one tablet with a card terminal and one or two kitchen screens. See hardware.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The POS keeps taking orders and prints kitchen tickets on the kitchen printer. Everything syncs when the connection returns. See offline.
How much does it cost?
Example prices are on the pricing page. There is no lock-in.
Do the staff need training?
Very little. Staff get going with minimal training, and we show them the basics on the first shift.
