Your room on the POS, table by table

Draw your room once in the back office. During service, you see the state of each table and the day’s bookings on the POS and the phone.

Switching to Resto is free, and you can cancel at any time.

During service

The colour of a table shows its state

The colours change on their own with the orders and the bookings. Every POS and phone shows the same room.

  • Available

The table is ready and shows its number of seats.

  • Held

A booking for the table starts within 30 minutes.

  • Occupied

The table shows the number of guests and how long they have been seated.

  • Past the booking

The table turns red when the guests stay past the end of their booking.

  • Needs bussing

When the check is closed, the POS marks the table on its own.

  • Blocked

The table is out of use until someone unblocks it.

In the back office

Draw your room once

Draw each room in the back office, in your browser. Every POS shows the new layout as soon as you save.

  • Tables and chairs

Tables are round or square, at any size. The chairs follow the number of seats.

  • Walls and labels

Rectangles, circles and text mark the walls, the bar, the kitchen and the door.

  • A drawing as the base

Add an image of the room drawing and place the tables on top of it.

  • Grid and undo

Tables snap to a grid, so they line up. You can undo every change.

Bookings

Today’s bookings show next to the floor plan

Resto connects to the EasyTable booking system. You see the day’s bookings on the POS and the phone.

  • Each booking shows the time, the party size and the table.
  • The table becomes held 30 minutes before the booking starts.
  • When the guests arrive, the server seats the booking at the table.

Questions about the floor plan

Do I have to use a floor plan?
No. Cafés and quick-service venues can sell straight from the POS with no tables. You add a floor plan when you need one.
Who draws the room?
The owner or the shift manager, in the back office. We help with the set-up if you want.
Can I change the layout for a private party?
Yes. You move the tables in the back office and save. The POS devices show the new layout.
Does the floor plan work if the internet goes down?
Yes. Servers keep opening tables, and the POS prints kitchen tickets on the local network. Read more about working offline.
Do staff need training?
No. Staff get going with minimal training.
