Bars

Every open tab, on every device.

Your bartenders open an order on a table or on an order number and add round after round. Every tablet and phone sees the same open orders all night, and at the end the group splits the bill.

Switching to Resto is free, and you can cancel at any time.

Open tabs

The next round in one tap.

An order stays open until it is paid. Any bartender opens it, taps “Repeat” on a drink, and the same drink is added with the same modifiers.

Everyone sees the same
The tablet at the bar and the servers’ phones see the same open orders at the same time.
Shift change
The next bartender takes over the open orders as they are.
Split it any way
At the end, split the check by item, in equal parts or by amount. With Tap to Pay, the server’s phone takes the card at the table.
How payments work

Happy hour

Happy hour starts and ends on its own.

You set up the rule once in the back office: which items, which weekdays and which hours. In that window, each order gets the discount on its own, on every device.

Past midnight
The window can pass midnight, for example from 22:00 to 01:00.
Sales channels
A rule can apply on the POS, on the kiosk and in QR ordering, or on one channel only.

Private rooms and game rooms

Game rooms order on their own.

At darts, karaoke, a golf simulator or a bowling lane, your guests stay in the game. They order with the QR code on the table or at a kiosk on the wall, and the bar gets the order at once.

A QR code on each table
Each table in the room gets its own QR code with the table name, for example “Darts 1”. The order arrives at the bar with that name, and the guest pays on the phone.
A kiosk on the wall
A self-service kiosk on the wall shows the drinks menu in Icelandic and English. The guest pays by card at the kiosk and gets an order number.

Questions and answers

Can we see every void?
Yes. Staff pick a reason for each void, and it is in the order history with the staff member’s name. The report counts each time the drawer opens with no sale. Traceability.
Can regulars and companies pay on a house account?
Yes. The bartender puts the check on a kennitala (Icelandic company ID), and the POS gets the name from the company register. You find the invoice in your accounting system, for example dk, Regla or Payday. Accounting.
What VAT applies to alcohol?
Alcohol served at a bar is at the lower rate, 11 %. Merchandise such as a branded glass is at 24 %. VAT for restaurants.
What happens if the internet drops on a Friday night?
The tablets and phones keep taking orders, and open orders stay open. A card terminal with 4G keeps taking cards. What keeps working offline.
What devices do we need?
Most bars start with a tablet and a printer at the bar, phones for the servers and one or two card terminals. See hardware.
