Charge the restaurant bill to the room.

Your server finds the guest by room number or name and charges all or part of the bill to the room. The guest signs on the screen, and the charge shows at once on the guest’s folio in Apaleo or Mews.

Switching to Resto is free, and you can cancel at any time.

Room charge

One payment at check-out.

The POS shows only guests who are checked in. Each check becomes one line on the guest’s folio, with the check number. At check-out every charge is already there, and reception takes one payment.

Full or part
The server charges the full amount to the room or only a part of it. The rest can be paid by card.
Guest signature
The guest signs on the POS screen.
Items in Resto

Outlets

The sales of each outlet.

The restaurant, the bar, the lobby café and room service are each an outlet. You set a rule once, and each sale gets its outlet on its own, from the floor plan, the table or the sales channel.

For any period
The sales report in the back office groups sales by outlet.
One system
All outlets share one menu catalogue, one back office and one Z report for the hotel.

Invoices

Companies and groups pay by invoice.

When a company holds a meeting or a dinner at the hotel, the server types its kennitala (Icelandic company ID), and the POS gets the name from the company register. You find the invoice in your accounting system, for example dk, Regla or Payday.

Review first
In the back office you see every account check before it is billed.
Signature
The POS asks for a signature when a check goes on a house account.

Questions and answers

Which hotel systems does Resto connect to?
Apaleo and Mews. See integrations.
Can we see the restaurant’s table bookings?
Yes. Resto gets table bookings from EasyTable and shows them on the floor plan, with the time, the party size and the table. See floor plan.
What devices do we need?
Most hotels start with a tablet in the restaurant and one at the bar, phones for the servers, a card terminal and a screen or a printer in the kitchen. See hardware.
How much does it cost?
Example prices are on the pricing page. There is no lock-in.
Do the staff need training?
Very little. Staff get going with minimal training, and we show them the basics on the first shift.
