Switch to Resto

Switching to Resto is free and takes about 30 minutes on site

We do the work. We import your menu, set up each device and stay for your first shift.

Step by step

How the switch works

  1. Before

    We import your menu

Send us your menu as a file or a photo. We put every item into Resto before setup day.

  2. Day one · about 30 min

We set up the devices with you

We come outside your busy hours and set up each device. This takes about 30 minutes. Your old system can keep running until your first shift on Resto is done.

  3. First shift

We stay for your first shift

We show your staff the POS for a few minutes. Then we stay on site while they take their first orders.

  4. After

    We are still here

We visit after the switch and come back if you need us. You can call or write to us, also in the evening and at the weekend. There is no lock-in, and you can leave at any time.

What we need from you

Six things are enough to start. The files do not need to be tidy.

Send it all in one email to hello@resto.is

Questions about switching

Is your question not here? Contact us

What if the internet goes down on the first night?
The POS keeps taking orders and prints kitchen tickets on your local network. A card terminal with 4G keeps taking cards. Read more about working offline.
Can I use the devices I already have?
Standard Android tablets and phones work. Dedicated POS terminals that run Windows or a closed system do not. Devices you need come through Origo, our hardware partner. Read more on the hardware page.
Can I keep my card terminal?
It depends on your acquirer and the terminal model. Resto connects to Teya, Straumur, Adyen, Rapyd, Landsbankinn and Verifone. Read more on the integrations page.
What happens to my old system and its sales history?
Cancel your old system after Resto is in use. Check the notice period, so you do not pay for two systems longer than you need to. Before you cancel, download the reports and end-of-day records, so you have them for your accounts.
What does it cost to switch?
The switch itself is free: the menu, the device setup and our help on site. Devices you need come through Origo and are not part of the monthly fee. The monthly fee is on the pricing page.

You run your restaurant, and we take care of the switch

Book a demo. We go through your menu, devices and floor plan, and pick a day for the switch.

We read every request and get back to you ourselves. We also answer in the evening and at the weekend.
